The Health Council of the Cooperation Council, represented by His Excellency Dr. Hajid Muhammad bin Hajid – Deputy Director General of the Health Council, participated in the Pharmaceutical Legislation Conference for the Middle East, which was held on February 13-14, 2023 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The conference aims to shed light on the patient’s role in drug regulation, as well as the most important developments in the region, especially in the use of the internal electronic medicine bulletin, as well as to exchange information about the experiences of countries, exchange accreditation for drug registration, and benefit from the experiences of the Cooperation Council in this field, in order to achieve visions to address the most important challenges; By discussing the various policies between the regulatory bodies, the Ministry of Health, and pharmaceutical companies, it also aims to review the latest developments in the Middle East in regulatory affairs for drug registration and to speed up the safe and effective delivery of medicine to the patient. It also aims to enhance international cooperation and partnership with international regulatory authorities and non-profit institutions, to gain experience, increase awareness and promote joint programs while adhering to the best and latest international practices.
