Based on the GCC Health Council’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the ministries of health in the GCC countries, the first meeting of the directors of information, digital media and awareness in the ministries of health in the member states was held via videoconference on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in the presence of representatives from the member states.
This meeting comes within the objectives of the Gulf Health Council to develop and improve the mechanism of delivering educational messages to citizens and residents of the member states, coordinate media work, and share the experiences of the GCC countries and lessons learned for media and awareness campaigns.
Where the meeting discussed the activities and activities of the Council for the year 2023 AD and the most important awareness campaigns and Gulf days to be held during the year. The knowledge enrichment platform and its role in enriching educational content at the Gulf level were also introduced, as well as the introduction of your safety program that targets children. The experience of the Sultanate of Oman in broadcasting was also reviewed. The meeting stressed the importance of the participation of the GCC Health Council in the quarterly calendar of activities and events so that they can be shared with other member states and benefit from the educational materials.
The meeting ended after agreeing on the necessity of speedy concerted media efforts between the ministries of health and the Health Council to serve the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, achieve the goals and see their results on the ground.
