Gulf Health Council Executive Board Holds its 101st Meeting in Riyadh

The Gulf Health Council convened the 101st meeting of the esteemed members of its Executive Board today, Tuesday, 9 September 2025, at the Council’s headquarters in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The meeting opened with a welcoming address by H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs in the State of Kuwait and current Chair of the meeting, who emphasized the importance of cooperation and coordination among member states to advance joint Gulf health efforts and achieve integration across various health fields.

During the meeting, members discussed a number of key topics aimed at sustaining coordination of joint Gulf health action, putting forward constructive initiatives, and supporting health decision-making to strengthen integration among member states within the Council’s strategic framework, which is built upon prevention, awareness, development, and health support. The meeting also reviewed the update of the Council’s strategy for the period 2026–2030, aligning it with the aspirations of the coming phase.

This meeting comes as part of the Gulf Health Council’s ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation and coordination among member states, and to unify efforts in addressing regional and global health challenges.
