In the context of enhancing awareness and cooperation among Gulf youth and various institutions, a group of interns at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Arab States visited the headquarters of the Gulf Health Council. The visit aimed to familiarize them with the most important and prominent projects and initiatives carried out by the Council in collaboration with the Gulf Center for Disease Control and Prevention, in order to enhance integration and joint Gulf cooperation in the health sector.
His Excellency, the Deputy Director-General of the Gulf Health Council, Mr. Riyadh bin Saleh Al-Azzam, presented a detailed overview of various leading projects the Council is working on. These include various programs such as the registration and licensing program, the Gulf unified procurement program, the expatriate program, and the awareness campaigns conducted by the Council to educate Gulf communities on various phenomena and ways to prevent them. His Excellency Dr. Walid Al-Nadabi, Director of Strategic Planning and Project Office, also presented on the role of the Gulf Center in enhancing the capabilities of the Council’s member states to face current and future health challenges.
The participating students expressed their appreciation for this opportunity that enabled them to learn about the efforts of the Council and the Center in the field of public health. They emphasized the importance of these initiatives in raising awareness and preparing to face health challenges in the region.
