The Gulf Health Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Qatar, organized a workshop on Thursday, May 11, 2023, to review the first episode of the educational program “Salamatak”. The workshop was attended by a group of journalists and content creators in Qatar.
It is worth mentioning that the Gulf Health Council launched the first episode of its animated program “Salamatak” during the Sharjah International Children’s Book Fair, organized by the Sharjah Book Authority for the first time in the Arab region. The event brought together prominent artists, animators, producers, and children’s book publishers at the Expo Center Sharjah, alongside the 14th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival.
The program targets children up to 13 years old, as well as their parents, teachers, and friends. One of the essential stages in developing the program is conducting studies and research to identify the most important topics needed by children in Gulf societies. This includes engaging with experts and the target audience, prioritizing and addressing topics based on their significance, writing recommendations and scientific standards, and conducting workshops with experts in Gulf countries to evaluate the content and scripts of the episodes.
The Gulf Health Council, as an active Gulf organization in the health sector, aims to enhance and improve the healthcare system and raise awareness in its member states by providing constructive initiatives and responding to regional and global health issues and challenges.
